Aspen Ladd

Aspen Ladd first began training in combat sports when she was fourteen years old. She was a kickboxer, boxer and wrestling before she made her debut appearance as an amateur at WCFC with Jaimee Nievera. Ladd gained confidence after this win and won 3 fights at Ultimate Reno Combat. Her opponents were all defeated by the start of the round. In WCFC, Ladd defeated Leslie Rodriguez with a unanimous decision. Aspen initially defeated Silvia Babyghian before going on to fight Maddy Simmons at WCFC 9 in which she took on Cynthia Calvillo. Cynthia dominated Aspen and defeated her in a unanimous decision, putting an ominous mark on her records for amateur. Ladd rebounded from the loss to defeat Roma Pawelek, taking her record to eight-1. Aspen started her professional career in 2015, signing with Invicta FC for her professional debut. Invicta Fc 11 was her first fight. She dominated Ana Carolina Vidal and won the the first round via TKO. The next time she fought, she won against Amanda Cooper via second-round armbar submission. She then fought at bantamweight to fight at Invicta FC 16. Aspen employed her skills in wrestling to take out McGill with a TKO during the third round (elbows & punches). Aspen took on Jessica Hoy, at Invicta FC 18. The fight was with Hoy in an opponent with a catchweight (138.1lb) due to the fact that Ladd didn't gain weight. Aspen still dominated Hoy until she was defeated in the second round by TKO. Invicta FC 21, she won her final fight with the promotion with a unanimous decision. Aspen Ladd was the first UFC fighter to debut. She faced Linalansberg during UFC Fight Night 118. She outclassed Lina with a pound and grind to her to the ground, gaining the TKO in second round. Her dominance continued and she got a bigger win during her next fight against Tonya Evinger at UFC 229 Ladd took the win in round one and was awarded the performance of the Night bonus. Her first major fight came during her subsequent fight in UFC Fight Night dos Anjos vs. Lee against Sijara Eubanks in an Invicta FC rematch. Ladd's victory was a unanimous victory, as well as her Fight of the Night award came to the two fighters. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie stopped Ladd in 16-seconds to break her losing streak. Yana Knitskaya fell in the third at UFC 7 on ESPN. In a last-minute substitute to her UFC fight, she took on Norma Dumont during UFC Fight Night 195. The fight ended in a unanimous verdict.
